It’s not like I’m working a manual labour job. My Sunday entailed nothing more than sitting around in the sun and wind for 14 hours just talking to people, doing interviews, and MC’ing. There are a lot of people who put in longer hours at much harder jobs.
I got home Sunday night at around 10, but by the time I was showered up and ready to fall asleep it was well past 11. When my alarm went off at 2:30, it was one of those mornings that I would have loved to hurl that alarm clock right out the bedroom window! I was dragging my rear end around yesterday morning until the caffeine from that first coffee kicked in.
I usually never nap in the afternoon, especially in the summer. If I’m feeling a little tired I’ll just head out to the backyard with the dog or try to find something to do around the house, but yesterday I decided I’d give in and have a little snooze.
I wasn’t the only one around here that was a little worn down. Gloria and Cody were feeling and looking the exact same way.
Colin turned out to be the smartest of the entire group. He always takes two weeks vacation right after Craven.
Next year I might have to arm wrestle him for those weeks!
