Environment Canada has issued Heat Warnings for extreme southwestern Saskatchewan Tuesday, as well as for the city of Lloydminster and northeastern Saskatchewan.
“A period of hot weather with daytime highs of 32 degrees or greater and overnight lows of 18 degrees will begin Tuesday and end Thursday.
A warm front will bring warm weather conditions to southern Saskatchewan Tuesday. A cold front will bring cooler air into the region Thursday.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.”
