Saskatchewan has a partner when it comes to fighting the imposed Trudeau carbon tax.
In a joint news conference Thursday morning with Premier Scott Moe, Ontario’s Doug Ford made the announcement they will now both be pursuing legal action against the federal government.
The two leaders are in New Brunswick for two days of meetings with their provincial counterparts.
A federally imposed carbon tax would start at 20-dollars per tonne and increase to 50-dollars by 2022.
Ford was quoted say that by joining with Saskatchewan, a strong message would be sent to Ottawa.
Earlier this year Saskatchewan announced it was taking the federal government to court over the impending tax.
Moe, much like his predecessor Brad Wall, has been insistent since becoming Premier in January that a carbon tax will do more harm to the economy than good.
