The owner of Grounded Goodness is bringing her seven week long, Saskatchewan Sisterhood Road Trip, to the provincial capital.
Amanda Perrot is stopping in Regina for four days and hosting three events, the first one occurring tonight, July 22nd
Two other events will be going on Monday, July 23rd and Wednesday, July 25th.
For her, this trip’s all about building connections with female business and community leaders.
“I find that I often stick to my own business, stick to stay in my own lane,” she said. “But what I’ve realized is that there’s women all around this massive province of ours that are doing the same.”
Hailing from St. Brieux, about 170 kilometres north east of Saskatoon, Perrot acknowledges she’s better with her knowledge of the northern communities. But she doesn’t know the south, nor have many connections in the area. Pair that with her feelings of being drawn in by Regina, Perrot feels this trip has a lot of personal and professional meaning.
“On a personal level, I’m doing this road trip because I’m just getting through a divorce, I’m craving some adventure and kinda rediscovering myself,” she said. “On a professional level, I don’t think there’s ever really a good time. You can always find reasons and excuse to not do something like this. I think that people around our province are craving that goodness, craving that connection.”
“And I said ‘why not? Why now and why not me? Let’s do this!'”
