It’s been over a month since Ruby Barnes disappeared.
The 64 year old was last seen around 9:30 in the morning on June 18th at a Carlyle credit union. She was reported missing at 9:40 that night, according to RCMP in the town.
Her daughter, Lee Ann Chicoine, said RCMP have had several leads, but there’s been no developments.
“It’s went quite a few different places,” she acknowledged. “We’ve had people call in from as far as Ontario, B.C.”
Chicoine noted RCMP and law enforcement have been quite good at keeping her and her family on search efforts.
“As of right now, they’re going to start doing some water searches, north of number 1 along number 9,” she said. “Just for precautionary, they just told us they don’t have any indication that she’s in there, but they need to check at this point because it’s been quite a while.”
Chicoine describes her mother to be about five feet five, between 135 and 150 lbs. with long grey hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing black pants and and a black top with a white abstract design on the front.
“She’s going through a rough time with her depression and anxiety at the time she went missing, so we’re really concerned about that.”
Anyone information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Carlyle RCMP, local police or Crimestoppers.
