The city of Regina’s commencing work along one of the main thoroughfares.
Work will be going on along Victoria Avenue between Park Street and Arcola Avenue, in a project expected to take about ten weeks.
“We’ll be doing a lot of concrete replacement there, the medians are in very poor shape,” said the city’s Director of Roadways and Transportation Norman Kyle. “Sidewalks, curbs, it’s a rehabilitation, so it’ll be selective concrete replacement, it won’t be the whole thing.”
With this work, Kyle noted there will be restricted lane access, and at times, access to area businesses.
“If there’s two driveways to a strip mall, they’ll only close one at a time,” he said. “Or if there’s only one access, they’ll do half of it.”
