Starting Monday, the City of Regina begins its annual crack sealing program. This preventative maintenance program helps to extend the life of the roadway and is usually applied to roads paved within the last two to five years having minimal surface cracks.
The treatment helps prevent water from penetrating into the road and weakening the road structure, which can cause premature failure.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane and to minimize disruptions, this work will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Work is expected to take up to six weeks depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances at the following locations:
Victoria Avenue – Park Street to Prince of Wales Drive
Ring Road – Arcola Avenue to Dewdney Avenue
Broad Street – Dewdney Avenue to 4th Avenue
Broad Street – Victoria Avenue to Hillsdale Street
