Floats, mascots and tons of people will flood the streets of Regina for the Queen City Ex parade tonight.
The parade will start at the corner of Dewdney and Cameron, and will slowly make it’s way towards the Tartan Curling Club.
Spokesperson Shalyn Kivela said the parade is the official kick-off for a week of fun.
“It’s a tradition that has brought thousands of smiles to children and adults alike over the years, every year the parade sets the five days of QCX in motion with beautiful floats, giant balloons, amazing performers, lovable mascots and real-life animals.”
Kivela said the parade will conclude with a bang.
“Following the parade, we will be having fireworks at Wascana Park,” Kivela said. “We expect them to go off around 10 PM, we will keep the public updated however if that time changes so we encourage people to keep their eyes out n Queen City Ex Facebook and Twitter.”
Kivela adds the parade starts at about Seven PM, and with around 60 entries this year, the parade should last about an hour and a half.
