The gates open at the Queen City Ex at Evraz Place at noon Wednesday, and many are expected to check out the sights, smells and sounds of the fair for another year.
While many will be checking things out, it is hoped their experience will be a positive one. If not, Tamara Sentes with the Regina Police Service says people shouldn’t have to look hard to find a police officer, as many will be on the grounds making sure there are no problems.
“We’re just encouraging folks to keep their children nearby, you know supervise them at all times. protect your valuables as well, make sure you’re not showing large amounts of cash.” Sentes said.
Sentes added if you see any suspicious looking activity, to find security or a police officer and let them know what you are seeing.
