Harvesting has started in parts of southern Saskatchewan.
The regional crop specialist in Weyburn, Sherri Roberts, says a few early seeded fields are being combined this week.
She says fall rye and some early seeded fields of lentils are being harvested this week.
Roberts expects bumper yields where moisture was plentiful but says some areas missed the rain and production will be down.
She expects harvest to be in full swing by the end of next week.
She says some are in need of moisture.
