Two men are facing charges after a plain clothes Regina Police officer located a wanted person.
Around 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon the officer spotted 30-year-old Tyson Kehoe in a vehicle in the Cathedral area.
When police attempted to arrest him, the vehicle he was in sped away backwards down an Avenue in the area, eventually turing around and driving at what police called an “extremely high rate of speed”.
The driver failed to stop at the intersection of Rae Street and 15th Avenue and collided with another vehicle.
Police arrested the driver, 44-year-old Christopher Lavalee and Kehoe on the scene, they are charged with offenses that include dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and assault with a weapon.
Both suspects will make their first court appearances on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the incident.
