The Regina Food Bank is hoping people will come out in groves for the Flip for Hunger pancake breakfast tomorrow at the Queen City Ex.
Those who bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation will get a pancake breakfast, as well as free admission into the Ex before 11 o’clock.
Food Bank Director of Operations Todd Sandin said it’s been quite a successful event.
“This is our seventh year of doing this event with Mosaic and Evraz Place. Over the last seven years we have raised almost 97,000 pounds of food for the Regina food bank.”
Sandin said this is a very important fundraiser for the food bank.
“Donations seem to take a drop during the summer. Kids are out of school, people are on vacation, so we might not be top of mind. To have an event like this, at this crucial time, is very important to us.”
Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item or monetary donation from 10 until 11:30 will get a pancake breakfast as well as gate admission into the Queen City Ex.
