It was only a matter of time before heat warnings were issued for many areas of Saskatchewan.
It appears that time has come this Tuesday evening.
Environment Canada has already issued heat warnings for the areas around the Battlefords, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Kindersley. More could still be coming for other areas under heat advisories in Saskatchewan.
As the week progresses, with the 35°C mark expected later in the week in many areas.
For now, Environment Canada is advising people to drink plenty of water in this heat, and to never leave a pet or a person inside a closed vehicle for any length of time.
Heat stroke and heat exhaustion are common in this type of weather according to the weather agency.
