One day, take note of how much time you spend / waste using your phone, computer or other time saving pieces of technology.
If you track it like you would a food diary, I’m sure your pages are filling up faster with technology than how many bags of Cheezies you ate.
When I got home yesterday, I messed around with my phone as I was looking for a few things on line. I had a nap and then when I got up for the late afternoon / evening – what was I doing? Trying to remember pass words and other log in information for my FitBit, Netflixs, SaskTel, SaskPower, The Church Choir. I’m not losing IT .. I actually do remember some of them. But between checking credit cards and PIN s – its enough to make sane person nutty.
My computer crashed – it actually fell on the floor – it has been out of commission for some time. Now seems like the time to buy a new one. Anyway, all my info lays there – it could be an easy fix, I don’t know. I assume, I should be able to get onto my Netflixs account with my cell phone. That would mean downloading an app! Which I’m okay with. But I haven’t gotten that far. I’ve check my router to see what the hell is wrong. Next step is probably SaskTel – they are my provider after all. Also, there’s my building. My understanding is others have had issues with their internet service.
It would be at this time, I throw in the towel. I’m paying 9.99 a month for nothing – however I’ve been watching “Better Call Saul”. Netflixs .. I’m not ready to surrender – YET!
Facebook. Twitter. Instagram.
Truly, take a day out of the week. Add up your time spent on these and then see what you would have done if it was just straight you time. I bet our heads would be much clearer.
Excuse me, I have to go re-connect with my Shopper’s Points Card!
