The Saskatchewan Roughriders have made an addition to their secondary.
The team announced the signing of international defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy Wednesday.
The 25 year old was released earlier this month by Ottawa. He had suited up in all seven games for the teams making 29 tackles, 4 knockdowns and an interception.
This will be Purifoy’s 3rd CFL stop. He started his career in BC where he spent the 2016 and 17 seasons before moving to Ottawa in free agency this year.
The 3-4 Riders are on their second bye week of the season. They are home to Calgary Sunday, August 19 in a 5 PM start.
