The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada is celebrating it’s centennial anniversary in Saskatoon.
The four day event, rolling into it’s third day, began with an event called “Extraordinary Sobor”. The celebrations also included discussions on the church’s Saskatchewan roots and it’s growth.
Celebrations include tours of area churches and an internment camp at the Railway Museum, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were held from 1914 to 1920.
Several social gatherings are expected, including a grand banquet tonight with over 300 people anticipated to attend.
