Each day ticks by and so does another event on our calendar. Today, we talked about the MS Society teaming up with A & W for Burgers To Beat MS. I hope you have time to grab a Teen Burger. $2. from your purchase will go to the MS Society for programming and research.
I am reminded of another big day on the calendar, September 9th. On that day thousands will gather across Canada for the 2018 Walk of Hope. Ovarian Cancer is a nasty piece of work.
Recently, I was made aware of a listener who is involved in the walk because she is now battling Ovarian Cancer.
Currently, teams are gathering support from family, friends, fellow survivors, co-workers even complete strangers. Whether you donate funds or walk on Sunday, September 9th, the idea is to participate.
The Regina walk is a fantastic event. Wendy Sutherland and Joanne Gasper are your Regina Committee organizers. Their committee is great, pulling together teams, sponsors and individuals . I take pride in supporting this event and hope to see you all out at Rick Hansen Optimist Park just off of McCarthy Boulevard.
If you enter a team, remember the key to a successful fundraising program is always having fun. Keep your energy and positive vibe flowing. You might be surprised who is willing to back your team or yourself. Also, if you feel you need support, they have great resources and people to help you along the way. Anne Chase, I’m talking about you! You’re amazing!
