UPDATE – A portion of the Trans-Canada from Moosomin to the Manitoba border had to be shut down Wednesday afternoon due to a wildfire.
Moosomin RCMP say the blaze was south of the highway, and that both lanes were closed for sometime due to smoke and emergency crews working along the roadway.
One eastbound lane was later opened early Wednesday evening.
Police also said strcutures wrere lost in the fire, but didn’t specify how many, or if they were homes or not.
The Highway Hotline says the section of Highway is fully open Thursday morning.
The fire was said to be sparked by a passing train.
