CAA members in Saskatchewan could have another way to make it home in a safe matter.
The Ride Assist program can be used much like the road-side assistance program, but has more of a focus on the driver.
Spokesperson Christine Niemczyk said there’s a variety of reasons why people would need to use Ride Assist.
“It could be personal health issues, medical emergencies, procedures done, family situation,” listed Niemczyk. “They may have even gone to the optometrist and we’ve all been there where we’ve had drops in our eyes and such and we may find that we’re just unable to drive home at that time.”
This program will be enable users to access it once per year.
“We’re trying to manage it so that the member can still use RideAssist, but still be eligible to use their roadside assistance calls throughout the year,” she said.
