A Saskatoon restaurant has been getting some negative feedback after responding to a poor review.
Solar Gardens received a one star review weeks ago, but the restaurant went viral with some unusual aggressive responses.
Bonnie Day with trustedregina.com says businesses need to be careful when responding to online complaints.
“What this business did was straight up, lashed out at the consumer. Then consumers are watching all of this happen and at no point did the business try to fix the problem.”
Day suggests that any business that has a social media account and takes complaints there, make sure they solve any issue offline and over the phone.
She says an organization needs to be careful when dealing with negative reviews.
“Sometimes there are bad businesses, but some sometimes there are bad consumers. It’s how a business reacts to it which tells a lot about their customer service. In this case, it’s the business that’s the issue.”
