It looks like Jon Ryan has found a new home in the NFL, less than 24 hours after announcing his release from the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, a team where he won a Superbowl and spent ten years, the 36-year-old Regina native appears to be heading to Buffalo.
Ryan will now compete with Colton Schmidt for the punting job with the Bills. Schmidt has held the job for the last four seasons.
Ryan requested his release from the Seahawks, estimating he would be losing his position this year anyway.
Former #Seahawks punter Jon Ryan is flying to Buffalo and will sign with the #Bills when he lands, source said. He requested his release from Seattle, saw it quickly granted, now will land on his feet.
