Summer vacation has come and gone. Craven has come and gone. Queen City Ex is in the rear view mirror. One month from today the autumnal equinox will arrive, signaling the official end to summer. Yup, one month until fall!
Yesterday I was out watering the lawn and realized it won’t be long before I’m cramming stuff into the shed and storing it away for another winter. There are some dead leaves lying harmlessly on our deck, but not enough for me to pull out the leaf blower quite yet. I’m sure that blower will have it’s work cut out for itself in a few weeks time.
Oh well, it’s not like we haven’t faced this every single year.
It’s just that the approaching fall leaves me feeling a bit nostalgic for the summer that has seemed to pass us by so quickly. Let’s hope the looming winter passes just as quickly.
