As the CP Women’s Open began Thursday, a swarm of volunteers donning red shirts could be seen throughout the course.
Several volunteers roaming the Wascana Golf and Country Club are from right here in Regina.
Megan Adams is a volunteer from the Queen City, and said it’s been a fantastic experience so far.
“It has been a lot of work, but a lot of fun along the way,” Adams said. “Just seeing the girls come through, and having that kind of talent in here, it’s amazing to think that they’re here in Regina.”
Adams said she first agreed to be a volunteer when the call came out a year ago.
“We always need volunteers, right? So you can’t have this type of event without them, and if there’s anything I can do to help out (to) make the event go smoothly, and continue getting these types of events in Regina, then that’s what I’ll do.”
The CP Women’s Open continues Friday and runs until Sunday.
