It’s a day for Regina to celebrate Regina.
Saturday marked I Love Regina Day, a day for those in the Queen City to come out and celebrate the community.
“Every year it grows,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “Every year, we try to give an opportunity for people to come together to celebrate the best city in Canada.”
For Fougere, a big part of what makes Regina the place it is starts with the people.
“The people make the city,” he said.
Fougere noted there’s a lot to love about the Saskatchewan capital physically, noting the beautiful parks and a vibrant downtown.
An event is going at Victoria Park in the downtown core, with a barbeque starting at 11:00 am.
