The golden hue of the Saskatchewan landscape. Big blue prairie skies that are sculpted with white flecks of cloud. The end of August and the whole world is preparing to change again as a new season is creeping upon us.
Mother Nature is preparing us for a fall that we are unsure of, much like every other season that graces us. Will we see an early snow fall, will there be a long harvest season for farm friends. Who knows. You just have to roll with it.
This weekend, I hope that your family can enjoy time together as the “summer” slides to its finish – that is to say, kids getting back to school on Tuesday. Maybe your children are all ready back to their routine. University and college students prepare to take on a new phase of their learning careers, all new adventures are welcome during this RESET weekend!
Think farm safety and mental awareness. If the season sees you with extra stress, take the time to talk to someone. Take breaks when you need them. Even though it is hard, stay well rested, find some light-heartedness in your day and take in the wonder of being a part of a pretty spectacular life.
The Roughriders have a victory in their sights and know that it will be loud and energetic on Sunday when Winnipeg rolls into Regina. Of course, the Bombers think the same thing. Who’s going to come out on top – we need your best set of lungs!
Whatever your “playing-field” have a great weekend.
