A pair of Manitoba people are facing numerous charges after a stolen auto and firearms incident in Regina’s east end.
On Tuesday morning just before 8 o’clock, police responded to an abandoned vehicle on Arcola Avenue, just west of the Regina bypass. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Brandon, Manitoba.
Reports indicated that a man and a woman left the vehicle and headed into the city, and on the 3800 block of Eastgate drive, camera footage discovered a woman matching the description of one of the suspects throwing away a backpack full of firearms.
Both the man and woman were found without incident.
23 year-old Justin Bell of Brandon is facing eight charges, including two counts of possession of a weapon, careless use of a weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon.
32 year-old Robyn Boersma of Carberry, Manitoba, is also facing eight charges, including two counts of possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property over five thousand dollars, and possession of a scheduled substance.
