A Regina family is getting their home redone with the help of several donations and companies coming together.
Build Love was started after Brandon Fuchs and Derek Wu both heard the Kennedy family’s story of trying to renovate their home to suit the needs of eight-year-old Vienna, who was born with a congenital muscle syndrome and has difficulty with mobility.
Liana Kennedy said the support from the community has been top notch.
“It’s still pretty incredible, it still feels overwhelming,” Kennedy said. “The love that has been shown to us is incredible.”
Jared Kennedy said he looks forward to the final product.
“A lot of the things that they’re talking about doing is so much more that we would certainly imagine for ourselves, and so it’s quite amazing to hear all of the different things that they might be doing, and we don’t know the final form that they will all take, but we’re certainly excited and thankful that this is happening, it’s just amazing.”
It is expected the renovations will be done in November.
A ceremonial barrier breaking took place Thursday morning in the home.
