Reid Hill is the Saskatchewan Liberal Party’s candidate in the Regina-Northeast by-election taking place this Wednesday. The seat was previously held by former Saskatchewan Party MLA and Finance Minister Kevin Doherty, who re-signed in March.
Hill’s running for a couple a reasons.
“To keep the Liberal name going and the belief and service in the people.”
There’s quite a few issues Hill has heard about from residents in the riding, including those regarding health care and affordability.
“There’s been a lot of cuts to programs lately and a lot of fees added on to things that have never been added on before, such as childrens clothing” said Hill.
On the whole, Hill’s looking at this by-election as a test for the Sask Party and the New Democratic Party, who are just looking to beat up the other guy.
Enter him and his party.
“People, if they do select me and win, you’re telling these two parties that ‘look, we’re tired of this. We want things to get done.'”
