Saskatchewan farmers made good harvest progress despite cool damp weather during the past week.
The latest crop report says 39 percent of the crop is in the bin, up from 27 percent last week and well ahead of the five year average of 25 percent.
Harvest ranges from 60 percent in the southwest to 8 percent in the northwest part of the grainbelt.
Topsoil moisture conditions are rated 22 percent adequate, 47 percent short and 31 percent very short.
The majority of crop damage this past week was due to lack of moisture and wind.
Frost also caused some crop damage.
SaskPower had four cases of farm machinery contacting power equipment over the past week, bringing the total in August to 22.
SaskPower is reminding farmers to be aware of overhead power lines crossing fields and farm yards during the busy harvest season.
