Police in Moose Jaw are investigating three sexual assaults that have occurred over the last 13 months near the city’s downtown area.
The first incident was reported and occurred in June of this year. The second incident occurred and was reported over this past weekend, while a third report came in over the weekend but occurred in August of 2017.
Each of the sexual assaults has involved a female walking alone and being approached and accepting a ride from a lone Caucasian man in a vehicle.
Each victim was between the ages of 17 and 30, with all three assaults taking place between approximately 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. near the downtown area.
Moose Jaw Police are actively investigating these three incidents.
While there are similarities with the three assaults, there is not yet conclusive information to determine if the suspects are the same individual.
The suspect(s) are described as Caucasian, ranging in age from 30 to 50 years, having brown hair, 5’10” – 6’ tall and average build. Police are continuing to work with the witnesses to comprise a more accurate description of the suspect(s) and the vehicle(s) with sufficient identifiers to release to the public.
The Moose Jaw Police Service would like to remind the public to not accept rides from strangers, adding it is always safer to walk in groups, particularly late at night.
