The Green Party of Saskatchewan is being represented by Jessica Schroeder in the Regina Northeast by-election.
Shroeder mentioned her time on the campaign trail has her believing people are mainly concerned with wages and the cost of living.
She said jobs and fair wages are her number one priority during her campaign.
“So part of that is building green jobs locally, and part of that is making sure that people get more livable wages, which is why I support the $15/hour minimum wage.”
Schroeder hopes to become the first member of the Green Party to win a provincial seat in Saskatchewan.
She said there’s a couple of reasons as to why she’s running this year.
“I’m running because I believe in fairness for everybody in the community,” Schroeder said. “I think a lot of people feel unrepresented, so I’d like to give those people a voice.”
The Regina Northeast by-election takes place September 12th, but advance polls are open until Monday night.
