The family of former Humboldt Bronco defenceman Morgan Gobeil has released a statement in regards to his well-being.
While the family continues to wish for privacy at this time, Gobeil continues to heal from a brain injury described as “significant,” and will remain in hospital for several more months.
However, the family did say that Gobeil is making progress, and is focused on physio, occupational and speech therapy, as well as other forms of rehab.
The Gobeil family said that Morgan remembers only parts of the crash, such as where the team was heading when the crash occurred, but does not yet know the entire extent of the crash.
The family released the statement through the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
