Politicians, railway executives and farm leaders will talk about grain transportation during a 90 minute meeting late Wednesday afternoon in Saskatoon.
Transport Minister Marc Garneau and Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay will meet with farm leaders, railways and grain shippers.
APAS president Todd Lewis will bring concerns about a looming grain export backlog to the meeting.
He says there are indications that some farmers in Eastern Saskatchewan will see delays of several months before delivering their crop to market.
Lewis says the railways must improve the grain car supply to ensure adequate grain shipments this fall and winter.
