Female First nations students at the First Nations University of Canada will be benefiting from a donation from a former NHL player and coach.
Ted Nolan and his foundation are donating $75, 000 to seven different post-secondary schools in Canada, including the First Nations University here in Regina.
Nolan said it’s exciting for him to make these and other donations.
“To even think about that type of money and growing up in the situation I grew up in, I thought I’d be a millionaire. To be able to do that with $5000 scholarships, it’s going to be great and it’s going on for a number of years.”
The donation will be split into five thousand dollar scholarships.
