Regina’s newest senior living facility held their grand opening Monday night.
Revera opened their Green Falls landing senior living complex, which is a 222 suite facility that allows for all levels of seniors care from independent living to memory care.
President and CEO of Revera Tom Wellner says it was just two years ago that the company turned sod on the $67 Million facility.
“To see this beautiful, state-of-the-art, retirement residence that’s going to allow Saskatchewan seniors to age with grace, dignity, and choice, is really exciting for us at Revera.”
Regina City Councillor Lori Bresciani said this facility was a major need for the Queen City.
“We know that a lot of the senior care homes are full, and this is just something that again, embraces our city and gives us an opportunity to have our seniors live in a place where it’s safe and with longevity as well.”
Resident Gerri Hack said it has proven to be a great place to live so far.
“I can’t believe all of the activities that we pick and choose from,” Hack said. “And the staff is so friendly, the people here are so friendly. There’s just always something to do.”
This is Revera’s ninth facility, and hires 50 full and part time positions.
