Some good news for the Regina Pats late Tuesday.
The Vegas Golden Knights announced they are sending forward Jake Leschyshyn back to junior.
The Knights took the 19 year old from Saskatoon with their 2nd round selection in the 2017 NHL entry draft.
He had 40 points for the Pats last season and is expected to be a major contributor in 2018-19.
Leschyshyn’s return means three Pats remain at NHL camps. They are forward Nick Henry (Colorado), defenceman Cale Fleury (Montreal) and goaltender Max Paddock (San Jose).
The Pats begin the 2018-19 regular season in Prince Albert Friday with the home opener Saturday against those same Raiders. Both games can be heard online on RM2.
