The latest crop report says harvest has been stalled in Saskatchewan by cool wet weather.
Provincial crops analyst Daphne Cruise says 62 percent of the crop has been combined, up from 58 percent last week.
Cruise says over 30 millimeters of rain fell in central and northern areas during the past week.
Combining ranges from 86 percent in the southwest to 17 percent in the northwest.
Cruise says topsoil moisture has improved but 37 percent is still short and 19 percent very short.
The majority of crop damage this past week was due to rain causing quality loss.
SaskPower had two reported cases of farm machinery contacting electrical equipment over the last year, bringing this month’s total to eight.
Farmers are reminded to be cautious around power lines during harvest.
