With the clock ticking down on the seconds until the puck drops on the Regina Pats homeopener, the team’s looking forward to bringing the community together.
Regina’s taking on the Prince Albert Raiders in the second game of a home and home at the Brandt Centre Saturday at 7:00 pm, the pre-game show goes at 6:35 pm on 620 CKRM.
But before any of that happens, a pre-game barbeque is being held in partnership with the Armouries yard, a cause Pats play by play man Phil Andrews said all should support.
“Two dollar donation will get you a burger and a pop and everything is going to Sheepdogs for PTSD,” he said. “Really excited to be able to partner with them.”
The fun also continues closer to game time, as one fan could find tonight particularly enjoyable.
“Not cool for the person who won and didn’t claim it at the Memorial Cup, but our 50/50 pot is going to start at over $60,000,” said Andrews.
