Well, I hate to admit it, but for the first time yesterday morning I used the remote starter on my vehicle. I didn’t want to cave in on the first full day of fall, but when I looked out my front window there appeared to be frost on the windshield. This morning after my shower, I did it again, although I must admit, I probably didn’t need to. It wasn’t that bad out this morning.
Last weekend we turned the furnace on for the first time in a long time. Looks like the air conditioner that was humming along nicely on so many hot summer days gets the next 6 or 7 months off. Good job buddy!
The front lawn is totally covered with leaves, but there still seems to be so many leaves yet to fall. The same goes for the deck in the back yard. It won’t be long now before my wife suggests we do some raking, although it’s not a suggestion at all, it’s an order. It’ll start with her saying, “There sure are a lot of leaves on the ground.” I’ll know exactly where that conversation is going.
That is one job that I just hate doing. I don’t know why. It’s quite a simple job. Rake leaves and put leaves in garbage bag. It really doesn’t get any easier than that, but I’d still rather pay someone to do it for me while I watch some baseball or football on TV.
Oh well, I guess there are worse jobs to do out there, although right now I really can’t think of one.
