UPDATE – Regina Police say a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old girl are facing numerous charges as a result of Sunday morning’s SWAT operation near Candy Cane Park.
Twenty-year-old Zachary Blacksioux, has been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm or ammunition, breach of probation, and breach of recognizance.
The 17-year-old, who can’t be named due to her age, was charged with assaulting a peace officer.
SWAT, Crisis Negotiators, and Canine units all responded to the 2900 block of Lindsay Street with the surrounding area being blocked off by police cruisers Sunday morning.
No body was hurt in the process.
Blacksioux makes his first court appearance Monday, the 17-year-old will be in youth court in November.
