The teenager charged in connection with the Amber Alert in North Battleford this month made another short court appearance.
Jonathan Gunville, 19, faces a variety of charges including abduction, unlawful confinement and theft of a vehicle after an SUV was stolen from a strip mall in the city with a six-year-old girl inside on September 16.
The girl was found safe the next morning inside the vehicle, which was abandoned in the city’s industrial area.
A bail hearing for Gunville is set for October 9 in North Battleford. In the meantime, he has been remanded to the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
His lawyer said the teen is suffering from mental health issues and is intellectually challenged.
