RCMP say a cold case involving the disappearance and death of a 15-year-old girl has taken a different direction, after a 41-year-old man was arrested in a Federal Prison in British Columbia Wednesday morning.
Eduard Viktorovit Baranec, has been charged with the first degree murder of Katelyn Marie Noble, who was last seen in the Radisson area on August 27th, 2007.
Baranec was also charged with committing and indignity to a human body.
Police say the 11-year investigation spread across Canada from Ontario to British Columbia.
Baranec, who was already in prison for an unrelated matter, will make his first court appearance Wednesday in Saskatoon by video.
Radisson is about 66 kilometers northwest of Saskatoon.
