The Saskatchewan NDP are calling out the Premier to offer some clarity a promise he made.
A recently released request for proposals from the Saskatchewan Health Authority shows the province is examining both new refurbished and new options for the Victoria Hospital Development Project.
That’s something which concerns Prince Albert-Northcote MLA Nicole Rancourt.
“I think that was definitely something that motivated individuals around Prince Albert to vote for him as leader and now, as Premier of the province,” she said. “So, they fully expect that he should be keeping this promise.”
During the Saskatchewan Party leadership campaign, one of Moe’s promises was to build a new, provincially funded hospital in Prince Albert.
The Premier commented on the matter Friday, noting his government’s commitment to those in Prince Albert and the north who use the Victoria hospital is there.
“It could be a new facility, it could be an expanded facility with new wings to what is already there,” he said. “We will continue to work with the community.”
