Saturday morning I was up bright and early to run some errands before helping Cody Glydon move into his new house. Moving is never fun and it’s funny how friends are hard to track down on moving day. It promised to be a rather quick move and it was. Between his truck and my SUV, we hauled a grand total of 3 or 4 loads before it was all done. Less than 3 hours. Now, that’s what I call an easy move. Enjoy your new house Cody.
When I got home after the move I went into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and noticed my wife out in the back yard with a rake, some garbage bags, and a few piles of leaves waiting to be scooped up. Oh, great. I just finished one job that I don’t like doing and now I was faced with another! I guess I could have plopped myself down on the couch in the living room until my wife came into the house and told her that I just got home, but I thought better of that idea. When I got outside I noticed she had even pulled all of the flowers out of the flowerbed. Oh well, with minus temperatures on the way they probably wouldn’t have lasted through the week.
Seeing as we were going all out, I decided I might as well mow the lawn as well. Within an hour we were all done. I must admit, the yard looked great, but with a tree still half full of leaves, it won’t be long before we’re back out there again!
Kudos going out to Tre Mason this morning. I am one of those that hates touchdown celebrations with a passion, so it was refreshing to watch Mason score a touchdown and then simply put the ball down on the turf in the end zone before walking away. Classiest move I’ve seen all year in the CFL!
