In my family the idea of peanut butter has become very divisive. Growing up we always had crunchy peanut butter, never smooth, and it was nearly a cardinal sin to ask for the smooth kind. As I got older I became VERY rebellious one day and bought a small jar of smooth peanut butter to try. I hid it in the bedroom so it didn’t cause a ruckus in the household. My mind was forever changed as I quickly learned smooth peanut butter was where the party was at! One thing I have learned over the years is how passionate people can be for their peanut butter choice. The fans of crunchy are just as vocal as the fans of smooth.
Well, just a few days ago I discovered something even more delicious and brilliant. Whipped peanut butter! No, this is not a peanut butter that has been in a relationship for a long time and not allowed to go out anymore. It’s a light, fluffy, creamy, and delicious spread that is simply sensational! It tastes even better in a sandwich and, apparently, can be used as a dip. I just eat it with a spoon out of the jar. I highly recommend trying whipped peanut butter, after all, would I ever steer you in the wrong direction?
You may be asking “how well would it work in peanut butter cookies?” I haven’t tried them as of yet, however if this article steers you to the ol’ grocery store to buy whipped peanut butter, just know that I’m more than willing to be a test subject of those cookies!
