Regina police are asking for the public’s help in finding former Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Justin Cox.
They say he is wanted on a variety of charges including assault after an incident September 25 where police were sent to a home in Regina’s east end for reports of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, they found a woman who had sustained injuries consistent with a physical assault. The victim and the alleged perpetrator are known to one another.
Police say numerous attempts to locate the suspect have not been successful thus an arrest warrant has been made.
Cox is described as African-American, 6’ 1” tall, weighing 190 pounds, with short, black hair and brown eyes.
Last month, Cox pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm in connection with two separate incidents in August of 2017.
He is to be sentenced on that crime on a later date.
