RCMP and municipal police officers will be patrolling Saskatchewan roads.
This is part of a country wide enforcement initiative called Operation Impact.
Sgt. Conrad Logan with Combined Traffic Services of Saskatchewan noted that while they’re out, they’ll be looking for impaired, distracted and aggressive driving, as well as seatbelt usage.

“We know that these four are the main four when it comes to the causes of death on our roadways, not only in Saskatchewan, but in Canada as well.”
Logan noted that impaired driving can have significant and permanent consequences.
