The numbers from Regina’s smile cookie campaign are in.
100, 086 of the treats were solid in the Saskatchewan capital and in Emerald Park, with the funds from the going towards Understand Us.
In an interview with our sister station My 92.1 Regina, founder of the organization Jim Demeray said the money will be a big help.
“The money is going to go to us developing our Understand Us University, which is workshops and online resources for teachers and kids to use to develop their mental health.”
Demeray also noted that in turn will help their outreach.
“This allows us to get into so many more schools and community partnerships in our city to promote mental health awareness.”
