An car crash in southwestern Saskatchewan has been determined to be fatal.
Maple Creek RCMP responded to a serious two car collision on Highway #21 about two kilometres north of town.
Upon arrival, they determined a 50 year old woman from Maple Creek, who’d been driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash, was dead at the scene. The second vehicle was driven by a 55 year old man, who sustained life-threatening injuries. He was flown to Regina hospital for treatment.
The highway, which connects Maple Creek to the Trans Canada, was shut down while investigators were present, but it has since been re-opened.
