A big donation has officials at the Regina Food Bank very thankful.
The organization’s interim CEO Todd Sandin said that they recently received a donation of nearly 2000 dozen eggs from Sask Egg.
We are completely blown away by the generosity of @SaskEgg who made an incredible donation of 1995 Dozen eggs to the Regina Food Bank. This will enable us to provide a great versatile staple to our families in need. #eggfarmers #care pic.twitter.com/Z5upO85hIt

Donations of this kind, he noted, aren’t something they often receive.
“To have something that we can actually service all of our clients within the month with a fresh dozen eggs is incredible.”
This isn’t the first time producers have stepped up, as Sandin notes organizations, including the Sask Stock Growers and Sask Milk, have also made contributions.
However, there is still a need for donations of other goods.
“Pasta products in bulk,” he said. “We’re looking for things like pasta sauces, baby food is a huge request for us, both formula and jarred vegetables.”
